History of our Chapel

Episcopal worship in Ullapool began with an occasional service in the Village Hall. This became a regular monthly service in the 1960's.In 1974 the present house was constructed by adapting an old building. It was designed to be the home of the priest as well as the place of worship for the small congregation.
Until a few years ago our priest served several congregations on the West Coast from Kyle of Lochalsh in the south to Durness in the north. Now however we are a Local Collaborative Ministry congregation, guided by our Bishop. On Sundays, once or twice monthly, Eucharist is celebrated ,and otherwise the service is Communion from the Reserved Sacrament or a Lay Office. There are regular mid-week Eucharists. Our congregation undertakes all the tasks involved in having a weekly service and in maintaining the property.
