THE CHRISTIAN FAITH
We are a congregation of the Church of Scotland. The Church of Scotland, part of the one Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church, is the national church in Scotland, recognised by the State but independent in spiritual matters. The Church of Scotland is Trinitarian in doctrine (i.e. we believe in one God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit and confess God's only begotten Son Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord). The Church of Scotland is Reformed in tradition and Presbyterian in government, the Church of Scotland exists to glorify God, to work for the advancement of Christ's kingdom throughout the world and to provide religious services for the people of Scotland through parish ministry. The Church of Scotland co-operates with other churches through Action of Churches Together in Scotland (ACTS), Churches Together in Britain and Ireland (CTBI) and other ecumenical bodies in Scotland and beyond.
